What we collect, and only then

If you send the enquiry form, we receive what you typed into it: the category of your enquiry, your name, your company, your country, your email address and your message. Nothing is pre-filled and nothing is collected in the background.

If you write to an address on this domain directly, we receive your message and whatever your own mail system includes with it.

Our web host records standard server logs, including the IP address of visitors, for security and to keep the site running. These are kept by the host for a short period and are not used to build any profile of you.

Why, and on what basis

To read your enquiry, answer it, and where it leads to business, to carry on that correspondence. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who approach us, and, where you are moving toward a contract, the steps taken at your request before entering into one.

We do not send marketing. We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for their own purposes.

Who else touches it

These providers act on our instructions. Both the United States and the Kyrgyz Republic are outside the European Economic Area, so answering an enquiry involves a transfer of your details outside it. We keep those transfers to what answering you requires, and we ask no more of you than the form asks.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that lead nowhere are deleted within two years. Correspondence connected to an actual transaction is kept as long as the commercial relationship and the applicable commercial and tax retention periods require, and then deleted.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict what we do with it, to receive it in a portable form, or to object to our handling it at all. Write to contact@1618.lu and we will answer within one month.

If you are in the European Union and believe we have handled your details wrongly, you may also complain to the data protection authority of the country where you live.

Children

This site addresses businesses and is not directed at children.
